The Feed is the user's dashboard - it is the home page displayed when they log in. It shows a set of widgets that give an overview of their deposit protection business, including statistics on deposits, release requests, and resolution activity. Users can use it to monitor their portfolio at a glance.
The Feed is available to Private Landlords, Company Landlords, and Agents. Tenants do not have access to the Feed.
No. All users (except tenants) can view the Feed and all its widgets without any additional permissions.
No. The layout of the widgets is fixed and cannot be changed. The widgets aredisplayed according to a pre-set design.
Not quite. The Feed is not updated in real time - there will be a short delay before changes (such as a newly registered deposit or initiated release request) are reflected in the widgets.
Yes. Users can switch between Custodial and Insured-backed views on the Feed. The system selects a default automatically:
It displays a circle diagram showing the total number of deposits linked to the user's account, broken down by status
It also shows the percentage change compared to the previous month.
Under the Insured-backed scheme, the user holds the deposit themselves rather than transferring it to mydeposits, so the "Waiting for payment" status does not apply and is hidden from this widget.
This widget shows the total amount of deposit money that has been transferred to and held by mydeposits under the Custodial scheme. It is only visible when the Custodial scheme filter is selected, as Insured-backed deposits are not transferred to mydeposits.
No. All users (except tenants) can view the Feed and all its widgets without any additional permissions. This widget appears only under the Insured-backed scheme. Itshows the total protected deposit amount across the user's account, split into:
It also shows the percentage change compared to the previous month. Since under Insured-backed the user keeps the deposit money themselves, this widget tracks the total value of deposits they are protecting.
This widget shows the total amount of deposit payments that are still pending (i.e. Registered but not yet received) under the Custodial scheme. It is not shown under Insured-backed, as deposits are not transferred to mydeposits in that scheme.
This widget appears only under the Insured-backed scheme. It shows the total balance of money that has been lodged with mydeposits as part of a release request resolution process. The figure displayed is the lodged amount minus any amounts already released. Under Insured-backed, money is only transferred to mydeposits when a resolution process requires it.
It shows the total number of deposits that have an active release request (i.e. A release request in any status except Draft or Cancelled), along with the percentage change compared to the previous month.
It shows the total deposit balance amount for all deposits currently in the release process. The figure is rounded to the nearest £1 - users can hover over the question mark icon for a tooltip confirming this.
It shows a breakdown of how many deposits are at each stage of resolution management (e.g. Open, Unclaimed, Negotiation, Assessing, Adjudicating, Court).Note that the Single release status is only shown under the Custodial scheme.
It shows a bar chart of the total unresolved amounts at each stage of resolution management. Under Custodial, this includes Single release amounts; under Insured-backed, Single release is hidden. Amounts are rounded to the nearest £1.
The Recent activities section shows the user's most recent deposit and resolution management activity in card format. It is split into two main areas:
Each tab shows the 5 most recent items, with the option to view more via pagination.
It shows the most recently registered deposits (up to 10, newest first). Each card shows the Deposit ID, deposit status, property address, deposit amount, and lead tenant name. Under Custodial, there is also a "Payment received" sub-tab showing recently completed payments.
Because under the Insured-backed scheme, the user retains the deposit money themselves rather than transferring it to mydeposits. There are no incoming deposit payments to track, so this tab is not relevant.
It shows the most recent release requests, including the RR number (as a clickable link), status, property address, settlement amount, protected amount, and how long ago it was created or updated. Both Custodial and Insured-backed release requests are shown when the corresponding scheme is selected.
It shows the most recently resolved or accepted release requests. Each card includes the RR number, property address, amount released to tenant, amount released to landlord, and (if applicable) the amount to be paid outside the system. The trigger for displaying a card differs by scheme:
Single release is a process specific to the Custodial scheme and is not applicable to Insured-backed deposits, so it is hidden from both the widgets and recent activities when viewing Insured-backed.
It shows release requests currently in the negotiation stage, where the landlord and tenant are exchanging settlement offers. Each card displays the RR number, property address, most recent offer details, and time since last update.
All monetary values displayed on Feed widgets are rounded to the nearest £1 using standard mathematical rounding (e.g. £1.49 rounds to £1, £1.50 rounds to £2). Users can hover over the question mark icon on any monetary widget to see the tooltip: "The figure shown here has been rounded to the nearest £1."
Eachwidget shows how its value has changed compared to the end of the previousmonth. For example, "+12% vs last month (45)" means the current valueis 12% higher than the 45 recorded at the end of last month. If there is nodata for the previous month, it will display "No info for lastmonth."
Yes. There are no office restrictions on the Feed - users will see data for all deposits across all offices linked to their company, regardless of which office they belong to. Non-PM users (e.g. Agents without PM status) will also see data related to deposits managed by agents within the company.
